Position Details:
The Redmond Company is looking for a real estate professional with 3+ years in real estate consulting, demographics and or brokerage experience. Expertise in site selection, due diligence, planning and zoning, and geographic information systems is helpful. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Real Estate / Finance or Economics. A master degree in demography would be beneficial, but is not required. Position responsibilities includes research of market conditions/demographics, site selection, preparing written reports and presenting overview, findings and recommendations to our clients.

Title Project Engineer – Traveling
Job Information

Responsibilities and Requirements:
– Assist the Superintendent in administration of the project from inception through closeout
– Assist in procuring subcontractor bids and site walkthroughs
– Maintain and follow-up of all project related correspondence
– Prepare, monitor, and update project schedule and 3 week look ahead schedule in collaboration with Project Manager and Superintendent
– Review shop drawings, samples, catalog data in accordance with plans and specifications, scope, installation procedure, site consideration, and coordination between trades
– Prepare, review, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking submittals, RFIs, contract documents, change orders, and subcontractor applications for payment
– Assist in the weekly job meetings and generation and distribution of all meeting minutes
– Assist in the project close­out process, including the punch list, collection of closeout documentation, and submitting the close out package to the Owner

Required Skills & Qualifications:
– Our Project Engineers are stationed at their home base and will travel throughout Central United States and work at our job sites
– All experience levels in commercial building construction performing duties similar to this position’s requirements
– (4) year college degree (engineering, construction management)
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
– Willingness to work as a team member in a high pace environment

We are a mid-sized company delivering our clients their visions in a big way. It is imperative that our staff work as a team in a client-focused environment.

Our Traveling Superintendents work on projects generally throughout the Midwest. A Traveling Superintendent must have 5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent, ability to handle projects based primarily in a negotiated format, understanding of job QC and scheduling, be OSHA certified, and can handle large ground up projects. All of our Traveling Superintendents need to be able to put forth a collaborative effort in the design/build process and must show they are leaders, detail-oriented, organized, excellent communicators, and gives direction well.

This position is direct hire and permanent full time.  Between jobs our Traveling Superintendents are often brought into our principal Waukesha office to help our Project Managers.
