Title Revit Draftsperson – Internship

The Redmond Company is an established, successful, commercial design/build firm. The Revit Draftsperson internship opportunity is located in our Waukesha, WI office.

We are seeking a Revit draftsperson intern to become a valuable member of our design team. Being part of a small design group, you will be exposed to all facets of the design process. As a bonus, you also get to see the other side of building with our in-house construction team!

The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, have a positive can-do attitude, and would have completed their sophomore or junior year. This position would be part-time during the school year and full time during the summer. We are looking for about 10-15 hours a week during the school year and an opportunity to work full time during summer if desired. In addition, we would structure an internship full time during the spring semester and summer if available and would work with the student’s schedule. No prior work experience is required. This role will support the Project Architect on our award-winning projects throughout the country. We have a casual work environment along with flexible hours.

Title Project Management Internship

We are looking for a Construction Project Management Intern to join our team and assist our Project Managers in all aspects of the design-build process from reviewing documents through project closeout.

This is a paid position, based in Waukesha, WI. Responsibilities and Requirements:
– Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in administration of the project from inception through closeout
– Assist in procuring subcontractor bids and site walkthroughs
– Assist in subcontractor buy-out, qualification, selection, and contract creation
– Maintain and follow-up of all project related correspondence
– Prepare, monitor, and update project schedule in collaboration with Project Manager and Superintendent
– Review shop drawings, samples, catalog data in accordance with plans and specifications, scope, installation procedure, site consideration, and coordination between trades
– Prepare, review, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking submittals, RFIs, contract documents, change orders, and subcontractor applications for payment
– Assist in the weekly job meetings and generation and distribution of all meeting minutes
– Assist in the project close­out process, including the punch list, collection of closeout documentation, and submitting the close out package to the Owner

Required Skills & Qualifications:
– All experience levels in commercial building construction performing duties similar to this position’s requirements
– (4) year college degree (engineering, construction management)
– Our Project Engineers are stationed in our principal office, with travel to our projects located throughout the central United States
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
– Willingness to work as a team member in a high pace environment
