A ground up design/build project that required the experience and knowledge of a team that has seen it all before.
After successfully completing a simultaneous renovation of three dealerships, Edwards Buick GMC, Edwards Chevrolet, and Edwards Chrysler, Dodge, Ram & Jeep, The Edwards Auto Group knew they could trust the team at Redmond to design and build their newest dealership, Edwards Hyundai in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
It was clear from the start that they chose the right partner for their latest project. The site of the new dealership presented several challenges. Poor soil condition, a significant amount of wetland grading and permitting required the experience and knowledge of a team that has seen it all before. Open communication, strategic planning and well-thought-out solutions to complex challenges has allowed the project to continue moving forward.
When completed, the new 29,000sf facilities design will reflect the Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) initiative being used at Hyundai dealerships around the world. It features a modern, open showroom with floor-to-ceiling glass and a bronze-colored “sky shaped” ACM facade. The interior includes modern furniture, customer lounges, digital kiosks, tablets, and wheel stands, while incorporating indoor plants and unique flooring to create a natural-feeling environment indoors.
