The Redmond Company’s design for Midland States Bank has achieved ‘Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR’ Award!
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will display this project in a gallery exhibit at the AIA National Convention in Washington, D.C.
The Redmond Company has won a President’s Safety Excellence Award presented by The Milwaukee Construction Industry Safety Council and Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee in recognition of achievement in accident prevention.
This award is given to the “best of the best”. Contractors are divided up by size and association affiliation. Those that rise to the top are recognized with this award.
The Redmond Company is pleased to be one of The Business Journal’s Real Estate Award recipients. Johnson Bank in Brookfield, WI, a LEED accredited construction project, was awarded second place in the “Best New Development–Office” category.
Projects were considered based on their impact on the Southeastern Wisconsin community, and if they were financially successful. A panel of The Business Journal editors and judges from the real estate and architecture communities reviewed the fifty initial nominations, and decided on eleven first place winners and six second place winners in twelve categories.
The Queen’s Ball, a formal fundraising event benefiting the Father Carl Alberte Scholarship Fund and Queen of Apostles School, successfully surpassed last year’s total amount raised with the help of The Redmond Company.
The event raised more than $51,000, partially accredited to a silent auction that included items such as crafts handmade by the K-8th grade students and a private dinner with Green Bay Packer Donald Driver. In addition, a live auction raised more than $9,000 for new text books alone.
In efforts to expand its “Giving Back” program, The Redmond Company was more than pleased to match the donation of Andy Young, Redmond employee and Queen’s Ball Fundraising Committee member, to round off a $220 donation which included advertising and promotion of the event as well.
The Redmond Company is proud to have helped America’s Second Harvest of Wisconsin by collecting more than 200 million pounds of food.
As part of Redmond’s Annual Chili Cook-Off in December, contestants made their spiciest, flavorful, or most unique chili for other Redmond employees to enjoy. Using non-perishable food items to count as their vote, employees select their favorite chili to pick a ‘Favorite Chili’ winner!
Voters were encouraged to bring in as many items as possible to ensure their favorite chili won and to maximize the company’s overall donation. The Redmond Company surpassed its goal of 200 lbs. with a donation totaling 218 pounds!
The Redmond Company’s recent branch for Port Washington State Bank, located in Cedarburg, WI, has won the Mayor’s Community Enhancement Award. This award is given to those projects that add charm and beauty to the City through remodeling and renovation of area buildings.

The Redmond Company is proud to announce that two of its Walgreens construction projects (27th Street and National Avenue, and Oakland Avenue and Locust Street) have won Mayor’s Urban Design Awards.
The Walgreens Oakland location won in the category of “Best Face Forward,” and the 27th Street location won in the category of “Plays Well With Others”. Awards are given to buildings with unique and innovative designs that complement the diversity of Milwaukee’s neighborhoods and enhance the City’s image.
Both locations were designed by The Albion Group. Brian Cummings, owner of MRED-Cummings, was the developer for the 27th and National location and a co-developer for the Oakland location with owner Ted Balistreri. The awards ceremony was held at UW-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
