30 May Town Bank – New Wintrust Financial Center in Downtown Milwaukee
The Redmond Company has been selected to design and build Town Bank’s new state headquarters for commercial banking. The new Wintrust Financial Center is located in Downtown Milwaukee. This high-end, prestigious project was awarded by Town Bank and its parent company, Rosemont Illinois-based Wintrust Financial Corporation. Town Bank has more than 20 branches in Wisconsin and is the sixth-largest bank based in the state. This is the second project in a year that Town Bank has awarded to Redmond. The first was the design and construction of the new Racine branch, which was completed Mid-2018.
For the Wintrust Financial Center, Redmond will build-out the first and second floors of an existing office building at 731 North Jackson Street, Milwaukee. Renovations will total 19,000 square feet. The first floor of the building includes a fully remodeled atrium with a 2-story feature wall to brand the bank’s space. This all-glass structural vestibule was incorporated into the design to allow for the private entrance the bank desired, while still offering open views into the 2-story atrium for all visitors in the 9-story office building.
Additional features are sliding glass entrance doors that offer views from the atrium into the office areas and conference room, providing an open feel for the office space. The exterior windows in the private offices are also being widened to offer more expansive views and to allow daylight to penetrate further into the space. Technology features include a high-tech training room with a bar for entertaining, a large conference room with video conferencing, and collaborative media table areas for impromptu meetings.
