A Traveling Superintendent must have 5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent, ability to handle projects based primarily in a negotiated format, understanding of job QC and scheduling, be OSHA certified, and can handle large ground up projects. All of our Traveling Superintendents need to be able to put forth a collaborative effort in the design/build process and must show they are leaders, detail-oriented, organized, excellent communicators, and gives direction well.

This position is direct hire and permanent full time.

Title Project Engineer
Job Information

Responsibilities and Requirements:
– Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in administration of the project from inception through closeout
– Assist in procuring subcontractor bids and site walkthroughs
– Assist in subcontractor buy-out, qualification, selection, and contract creation
– Maintain and follow-up of all project related correspondence
– Prepare, monitor, and update project schedule in collaboration with Project Manager and Superintendent
– Review shop drawings, samples, catalog data in accordance with plans and specifications, scope, installation procedure, site consideration, and coordination between trades
– Prepare, review, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking submittals, RFIs, contract documents, change orders, and subcontractor applications for payment
– Assist in the weekly job meetings and generation and distribution of all meeting minutes
– Assist in the project closeout process, including the punch list, collection of closeout documentation, and submitting the close out package to the Owner

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
– All experience levels in commercial building construction performing duties similar to this position’s requirements
– (4) year college degree (engineering, construction management)
– Assigned to either our principle office or to the Project Site depending on project requirements
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
– Willingness to work as a team member in a high pace environment

The ideal Assistant Project Manager must be detail-oriented, organized, and driven.  This individual will lead the project team with integrity, while managing projects from start through completion. This individual must also have the professionalism and communication skills needed to collaborate with owners of premier, high-end, and often complex projects. As the point person for the project team and the company, this individual must be a proven leader, providing outstanding customer service, while producing high-quality projects.

 

Additional qualifications of the ideal Assistant Project Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Subcontractor bid negotiation experience
  • Ability to handle projects based primarily in a negotiated contract format
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Team player

 

The Assistant Project Manager position is permanent and full-time. Minimal overnight travel required. Relocation package available.
