Port Washington State Bank’s Fredonia branch will soon offer more than financial services, a friendly smile from staff, and warm cookies on Fridays. Construction is underway to renovate the existing building and add 1,500-sf of space. This update and expansion will modernize the branch, incorporating features and services that better serve the growing Fredonia, Wisconsin community.
The enhanced space will benefit both customers and employees with more office locations, a new conference room, first-floor bathrooms, a larger customer service work zone, expanded reception area, and more space for children to play while visiting. A notable architectural design feature includes a clerestory—a wall with windows above eye-level—providing natural light and a wall showcasing the Port Washington State Bank brand and community history.
Exterior improvements include a thin stone veneer sourced locally from Halquist Stone in Lannon, Wisconsin, as well as refreshed lighting and brick accents. Drive-through customers with large vehicles will enjoy wider lanes to ease entering and exiting that service area.
The bank continues to serve customers throughout the renovation via a mobile banking trailer. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2025.
