Johnson Financial Group’s West Towne, Madison, Branch Wins ABC of WI Project of Distinction Gold Award
The Redmond Company’s innovative design for Johnson Financial Group’s West Towne Madison branch has earned the ABC of Wisconsin Project of Distinction Gold Award. The 5,224-sf banking facility, located at 448 South Gammon Road, showcases how thoughtful architectural design can transform an existing structure into a modern banking environment.
Working within City of Madison restrictions that required preserving the original building framework, The Redmond Company’s design team developed a comprehensive renovation plan that reimagined the space for contemporary banking needs. The design seamlessly integrates a modern cash bar, dedicated service desk, and drive-through banking services while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
The design features a thoughtfully planned interior that includes six offices, a conference room, and flexible workspaces. Drawing from their extensive experience with previous Johnson Financial Group projects, The Redmond Company’s designers incorporated established finish selections and custom casework specifications to ensure consistency with the bank’s brand identity.
This West Towne location represents Johnson Financial Group’s 35th branch in their growing network across Wisconsin and Minnesota. The project exemplifies how strategic design solutions can overcome structural challenges while creating an exceptional banking environment that serves the community’s needs.
The ABC of Wisconsin Project of Distinction Awards recognize the high quality and professional excellence of Wisconsin construction projects. The Gold Award represents the highest level of recognition in the program.
