Financial Plus Credit Union – Peru IL

Financial Plus CU Peru IL

Financial Plus Credit Union is partnering with The Redmond Company to renovate its Peru, Illinois, branch, updating the facility to reflect the credit union’s newer branded look and improving how the space supports daily operations. The 8,100-sf remodel includes a refreshed exterior, a reconfigured interior, and a small addition at the main entrance that strengthens the arrival experience and the building’s visibility.

Delivered through Redmond’s integrated design/build approach, the project gave Financial Plus a single, coordinated team for consulting, real estate, brokerage, branding, architecture, and construction. Early in the process, Redmond developed multiple renovation scenarios with corresponding pricing, giving the client a clear understanding of how different levels of work would affect cost, workflow, and member experience. This helped Financial Plus select a scope that delivered meaningful improvements without unnecessary expense.

Design development builds on standards established in previous Redmond projects for the credit union, ensuring consistency across locations and reducing the time needed to confirm finishes, layouts, and branded elements. With these standards already in place, the team could move efficiently through design decisions and focus on updates with the greatest operational impact. The relocated vestibule incorporates Financial Plus’s double height barrel vault entry feature, increasing visibility from the nearby highway and reinforcing a recognizable identity. Updated exterior materials, lighting, and signage align the building with the credit union’s current design direction. Inside, reconfigured departmental layouts and added workspaces improve staff movement and support a more efficient service model. The refreshed retail environment enhances comfort and clarity for members, creating a more intuitive experience from arrival through transaction.

The remodel strengthens Financial Plus’s presence in the Peru market and improves how the branch functions day to day. Leveraging the established standards from previous work with Financial Plus accelerated design, and our design/build delivery provided a straightforward, transparent process from early planning into construction. Financial Plus’s continued work with Redmond, following successful projects in Morris and Ottawa, Illinois, reflects a long‑standing relationship built on clear communication, reliable execution, and a shared focus on facilities that support long‑term operational goals.
