Earthmover Credit Union engaged The Redmond Company to expand its branch network with a new ground‑up location in Romeoville, IL. The 4,500 sf project includes a 3,250 sf branch and a 1,250 sf canopy, creating a single-story facility that supports the credit union’s continued growth following its recent rebranding.
This Romeoville branch is the second new‑build facility Redmond has completed for Earthmover, following the Batavia location. Redmond has also delivered remodels at four additional Earthmover branches, strengthening our team’s extensive understanding of of the credit union’s standards, operations, and expectations.
Schedule has been a key priority for Earthmover for this location. Redmond guided Earthmover’s team through the due diligence process early on in the project, ensuring that Earthmover’s prototype would be allowable on this site before they closed on the property, well before their desired construction start for the branch. Careful attention was given to schedule for the permitting process, giving the owner additional flexibility on the start date. Bidding was strengthened by Redmond’s established relationships with local subcontractors and experience from previous Earthmover projects.
Redmond is providing design/build construction services for the Romeoville branch. Our team used design/build Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) subcontractors who worked on earlier Earthmover locations, allowing familiar teams to apply lessons learned and anticipate building needs.
Redmond provides consistent project information, including allowance log updates with each pay application, helping Earthmover track decisions with confidence throughout construction. As the sixth project between Earthmover and Redmond, the Romeoville branch continues a working relationship built on trust, direct communication, clear processes, and transparency.
