10 Sep Brokaw Credit Union – Schofield, WI

Brokaw Credit Union is renovating and expanding its Schofield, Wisconsin branch to better support member service, improve operational efficiency, and address long‑term facility needs. The 9,350‑sf project spans two levels and reflects the credit union’s commitment to value‑driven improvements. Redmond is providing design and construction services for the renovation and addition.
Brokaw Credit Union selected Redmond based on their existing business relationship and established confidence in the team’s clear, methodical process and attention to cost considerations. That foundation allowed Brokaw to evaluate options at each design/build stage and make informed decisions without pressure.
Exterior updates strengthen the building’s presence and improve accessibility. New fiber cement siding provides a durable, contemporary look. A new canopy on the south façade creates a welcoming entry for members. The addition of an elevator on the east side of the building improves access to lower‑level staff spaces while supporting future expansion.
Interior improvements focus on modernizing the main floor and supporting more efficient member interactions. The layout reconfiguration streamlines operations, adds offices within the lobby, and brightens the environment with new flooring and paint. These updates enhance the member experience and bring the building into current code compliance.
A key challenge identified early in the project involved water infiltration near the proposed elevator shaft. Redmond assessed the source and extent of the issue and implemented targeted mitigation strategies, including improved drainage and waterproofing, to protect the new structure and ensure long‑term performance.
The renovation and addition will position Brokaw Credit Union for long‑term operational strength, with improvements that support staff, enhance member service, and modernize the facility.
