Genesis’s elegant and refined brand creates a distinctive design/build challenge for any dealership. The Redmond Company’s extensive experience with luxury automotive facilities, combined with our established relationship with Webb Auto Group through two previous successful projects, provided the foundation needed to deliver a facility that meets Genesis’s elevated expectations. The completed Schererville, Indiana Genesis dealership spans over 24,000‑sf across two floors and delivers the premium sales and service experience Genesis customers expect.

The path to this dedicated facility evolved as Webb Auto Group’s business needs grew. Early in the project, Redmond evaluated renovating an existing building at Webb’s newest Hyundai dealership in Merrillville, Indiana. As Hyundai sales continued to thrive, preserving and expanding inventory space became essential, confirming that a standalone Genesis facility was the right long‑term solution.

Additionally, the temporary Genesis dealership quickly exceeded its capacity, reinforcing the need for a purpose‑built location. Redmond supported Webb Auto Group through their real estate search, navigating significant wetland constraints on an initial property before identifying and selecting a nearby parcel that allowed Redmond’s construction process to proceed efficiently.

The Genesis prototype introduced unique engineering requirements, particularly its full‑glass office walls throughout much of the facility. Working closely with our structural engineers, Redmond developed a cost‑effective solution that supported ceiling loads while preserving Genesis’s signature glass design. The program’s roof‑structure depth requirements also demanded creative engineering to maintain proper ceiling heights without compromising safety or aesthetics.

Inside the showroom, customers experience an immersive Genesis environment highlighted by a color‑changing suspended Brand Cube, a distinctive copper‑finished Brand Wall, and a feature light cloud that accents displayed vehicles. Full‑glass office walls enhance visibility and reinforce the facility’s open, sophisticated atmosphere.

The modern customer lounge offers diverse seating options, a high‑end coffee bar, and an interior Atrium Garden complete with skylight, live plants, and a water feature. Adjacent to the Vehicle Delivery area, an exterior Privacy Garden provides a calming space for new owners.

The service department includes eleven service bays, three of which are dedicated EV Lab bays equipped with Level 2 chargers. The space maintains a clean, luxurious aesthetic with tile floors and tile walls throughout. The property also provides customers with two Level 3 EV chargers and one Ultra‑Fast charger, supporting Genesis’s growing electric‑vehicle initiatives.

The exterior design creates a striking visual effect with extensive glass encompassing approximately 35% of the building, giving the impression of a roof that “floats” above the dealership. Service Reception and Vehicle Delivery areas pass through the building and flank the showroom on both sides, reinforcing intuitive customer flow and operational efficiency. Redmond’s integration of these design and circulation elements ensures the facility reflects Genesis’s brand standards and its build supports and satisfies Webb Auto Group’s operational goals.
