The Redmond Company is an established successful commercial design/build firm located in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Due to our continued and calculated growth, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team of design and construction professionals. Our Project Engineers are stationed at their home base and will travel throughout Central United States and work at our job sites.
• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in administration of the project from inception throughout closeout
• Assist in procuring subcontractor bids and site walkthroughs
• Maintain and follow-up all project related correspondence
• Prepare, monitor, and update project schedule and 3 week look ahead schedule in collaboration with Project Manager and Superintendent
• Review shop drawings, samples, catalog data in accordance with plans and specifications, scope, installation procedure, site consideration, and coordination between trades
• Prepare, review, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking submittals, RFI's, contract documents, change orders, and subcontractor applications for payment
• Assist in weekly job meetings and generation & distribution of all meeting minutes
• Assist in the project close-out process, including the punch list, collection of closeout documentation, and submitting the close out package to the Owner
The Project Engineer position is permanent and full-time. Based out of Waukesha, WI corporate office.
Additional qualifications of the ideal Project Engineer:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• All experience levels in commercial building construction performing duties similar to this position's requirements
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work as a team member in a high pace environment
