A new design and construction project that supports future growth goals and embraces an opportunity to enhance the services and capabilities that Financial Plus Credit Union provides to its members.

Financial Plus Credit Union, headquartered in Ottawa, Illinois, was looking to build a new main office that would better serve the employees who support their members. However, this type of project requires unique expertise. FPCU needed a partner who could design and build a facility that was efficient, safe, cost effective and inspired. They also needed a partner who understood the rapidly evolving financial services industry and could provide informed solutions to current challenges. After partnering with the Redmond Company on a past project, they knew they could trust the team at Redmond to exceed their expectations for their main office project.

The design for this project is inspired by FPCU’s branch prototype in Morris, Illinois, which was designed and built by the Redmond Company. One of the most important design features in both facilities is access to natural light. Optimizing the amount of natural light in an office significantly improves health and wellness among employees and leads to gains in productivity. Like the branch, the main office has an impressive two-story light-filled lobby. This design is also carried through to the office spaces giving most employees a view to the outside. Finally, the team was able to help solve operational and efficiency issues by incorporating an eight-lane drive-up that will alleviate drive-thru congestion.

We are honored to be working with Financial Plus Credit Union again and are looking forward to starting construction of their main office in early Fall of 2020.
