Everwise Credit Union established a new 3,500‑square‑foot branch in Zionsville, Indiana, to support its growing presence in the Indianapolis area. Redmond guided the project through the city’s restrictive overlay district, which required all new buildings to follow one of three historic architectural styles. Those regulations shaped the design direction and demanded early coordination to ensure the branch met both municipal expectations and Everwise’s operational needs.

The team selected the Italianate style because it allowed the inclusion of a cupola that echoed clerestory elements used on previous Everwise projects while serving a practical purpose as a screen for rooftop mechanical equipment. The exterior incorporated brick veneer, limited EIFS, and 178 PVC brackets along the rooflines to meet the district’s stylistic and material requirements. These external features resulted in a branch that differed significantly from Everwise’s other locations but adhered to the community’s architectural guidelines. However, we were able to design the interior of this building to similarly match the credit union’s standard.

Design approval required consistent collaboration with city officials. Redmond submitted preliminary renderings throughout the design phase to confirm compliance and address comments before they could affect schedule or cost. Our approach proved important when the city rejected a competitor’s concept presented to Everwise for not meeting zoning requirements. Redmond’s proactive coordination and experience collaborating with municipal officials ensured our approved design advanced without delays.

During construction, Redmond’s transparent process gave Everwise clear visibility into estimating, bidding, allowances, and scheduling. Bi‑weekly project calls and an on‑site superintendent supported timely decisions and steady progress. As a repeat client with additional branches planned, Everwise relied on Redmond’s disciplined guidance to balance government requirements with the credit union’s operational priorities.
