While Forward Bank’s main office served their team and community well, expansion was needed to better function in the community they loved. Forward Bank chose to relocate to a more convenient and visible retail location where they could grow well into the future. When Forward Bank decided to build their new headquarters they had a vision of what they wanted but needed the right company to make their dream a reality. After vetting a number of companies, The Redmond Company was selected as their partner. Redmond reviewed the market and recommended the ideal site for their new main office and designed a state-of-the-art, three-story facility to help increase employee engagement and productivity while creating an outstanding customer experience. Once the optimal location and site were identified, Redmond’s real estate consulting and acquisition team led negotiations to purchase a premier site in Marshfield for Forward Bank’s new headquarters. Redmond then completed the due diligence, planning/zoning, and city approvals so design could commence.

Designing the building to accommodate the banks current needs, plans for future growth, be an anchor in the community, and also have the office be a tool to attract and retain great employees were all key factors on this project.  The bank made huge strides to be more tech-forward in order to stand out among the landscape of the more ‘traditional’ Northwoods Wisconsin financial institutions. Embracing the emerging technology in the industry, numerous interactive technology was incorporated in the retail space, community room, and board room. Understanding that a comfortable workplace can increase employee creativity and productivity, many staff amenities where included.  Areas such as a fitness room, assembly room, expansive outdoor patio that overlooks a park and beautifully landscaped five-acre site, and a variety of break rooms and café spaces were designed to encourage employee interaction and a happy work environment.
