The Redmond Company’s automotive design-build experts completed the new dealership renovation and addition for Fields Automotive Group in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  After completing a successful project for the Fields Jaguar Land Rover Volvo team previously at their Madison location, the dealership hired Redmond to design and build a new Volvo-mandated showroom and renovate their existing Jaguar Land Rover showroom.

With Field’s Waukesha facility optimally positioned on a high-traffic road, they elected to buy the adjacent property to expand the facilities and parking lot. The existing facility, which featured all three of their brands in one showroom, was renovated to showcase only Jaguar and Land Rover products. The new 9,000-square foot Volvo showroom, along with a Volvo reception area, offices, lounge, and custom coffee bar, has been constructed adjacent to the existing 12,000-square foot renovation of the Jaguar and Land Rover facility.

By utilizing the existing showroom facilities, the Redmond design team worked around multiple structural support columns in order to save the Fields Auto Group money and not completely demolish and rebuild the existing showroom.

An additional challenge of the project was the site itself. There were significant grade changes on the site – there is nearly a 15-foot difference between the site’s main access point and the existing showroom. Our team worked through the severe site grading issues to ensure the new Volvo showroom would sit at the same grade-level as the existing showroom. Creative site planning and use of retaining walls were part of the strategy to overcome this daunting challenge.

Also completed for Fields Automotive Group is the new Fields Jaguar Land Rover Volvo facility in Madison, Wisconsin.
