The Sondalle Ford Lincoln facility required an update to become compliant with the Ford Trustmark Program. Additionally, the existing site suffered from drainage problems, often resulting in frequent flooding of the building.
After regrading the site and improving the storm flow of the parking lot, the Redmond team designed a 8,000 sf remodel within the confines of the existing building while the dealership remained open for business. Most of the interior walls remained in place; much of the live remodel was cosmetic improvements to meet the criteria of the Ford Trustmark Program. The building exterior was given a new facade, again to meet the requirements of the Ford brand. By creating a design that worked within the existing layout, the Redmond team eliminated the need for major structural changes. As a result, the project was completed on time and below the estimated budget, all while allowing the dealership to remain fully operational.
A 4,000 sf service addition was built to further increase the potential for work in the profitable fixed operations department, including the incorporation of the Ford-mandated service drive-up into the existing building.
The facility was completed in Fall 2015.
