When Edwards Auto Group sought to transform their Chrysler Dodge Ram Fiat Jeep (CDRF+J) Village Pointe dealership in Omaha, Nebraska, they turned to a trusted partner. Following previous successful collaborations, The Redmond Company was chosen to breathe new life into this expansive automotive retail space. The ambitious renovation encompassed approximately 40,000-sf within the dealership’s impressive 99,000 plus-sf footprint. The completed project delivered an exposed ceiling design creating volume and spaciousness, contemporary finishes aligned with manufacturer branding standards, strategic reallocation of existing spaces for improved workflow, and second-floor amenities including a staff break room and workout facility.

A key challenge was maintaining full operations throughout construction. The Redmond team implemented a phased approach, keeping half the facility open while renovating the other. This strategic execution allowed Edwards CDRF+J Village Pointe to continue serving customers without interruption, maintain sales and service department functions, preserve revenue streams during the renovation, and minimize operational disruptions for staff. The careful management of noise, dust, and debris ensured that the professional atmosphere of the dealership remained intact even during active construction phases.

The centerpiece of the renovation was the implementation of Jeep’s gateway design elements to visually and functionally separate the Jeep salon from other brands. The showroom features distinctive architectural elements that highlight the Jeep brand identity with manufacturer-specified grain wood finishes and modular design components creating a unique customer journey. The spacious interior, accentuated by the high exposed ceiling treatment, spacious display area, and large format tile flooring creates an impressive setting that enhances the vehicle showroom and customer experience.

Recognizing the importance of staff well-being, the renovation introduced quality-of-life improvements including a second-floor break room for relaxation and meals and dedicated workout facilities with locker and shower rooms supporting employee wellness. These staff spaces foster teamwork and morale, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the dealership’s operations.
