This project took an abandoned, industrial “brown” site and transformed it into a new and unique Walgreens—aiding in the renewal efforts of a major arterial street on Milwaukee’s Near North Side. The Redmond Company also worked diligently with the developer to integrate local contractors and minority-owned businesses into the construction process. During construction, we were able to overcome several obstacles commonly encountered during urban redevelopment projects, including poor soil conditions, contamination remediation and tight schedule restraints. Through careful planning and execution, The Redmond Company completed the project to the owner’s satisfaction.
