We overcame two challenges while completing this project: phasing the project because of the required underground detention system, and working with the neighboring veterinarian that was open for business as we created a new parking lot.

The underground detention system took up the majority of the site. With a couple of pre-planning meetings with the subcontractors, we were able to create a very detailed plan to allow the veterinarian’s clients to have access at all times while we built the parking lot.

Because the owner knew of this situation in the beginning of the project and because we were so involved during the entire process, we were able to establish and execute a successful plan. This plan saved the owner and subcontractors money, time, and made certain there were no surprises.
