Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) has expanded its presence with a new branch in Batavia, Illinois—an exciting milestone that showcases ECU’s new prototype branch design created in partnership with The Redmond Company and aligned with their recent rebranding initiative.

Following the successful renovation of four existing branches, this Batavia location is the first ground-up facility to bring the new prototype to life. The building features a distinctive sloped clerestory roof and expansive glazing that draws natural light deep into the lobby. Custom branded feature walls carry ECU’s refreshed identity throughout the space, while thoughtfully selected acoustical treatments, lighting, and interior materials create a comfortable, cohesive, and memorable member experience.

The design emphasizes both member privacy and operational control, integrating electronically controlled window shades, strategic acoustical enhancements—including a custom wall logo—and lighting solutions that provide added privacy in key lobby zones.

From the outset, The Redmond Company helped Earthmover Credit Union reduce risk through comprehensive pre-development services, including soil testing, environmental assessments, and municipal approval support. Throughout the project, the team employed advanced 3D modeling and rendering tools to clearly communicate design intent, while detailed cost estimates at every milestone ensured the project remained on budget and on schedule.
