Earthmover Credit Union’s Yorkville, IL branch is one of the first to reflect the new branding while delivering a modern design with energy efficient and aesthetically functional elements.

The Redmond Company successfully completed the transformation of Earthmover Credit Union’s (ECU) Yorkville, IL branch, one of the first branches reflecting the new rebranding. The 4,000-sf renovation balances contemporary design with enhanced functionality to serve ECU’s growing membership.

This renovation strategically addressed both aesthetic and operational priorities.  The Redmond team integrated energy-efficient systems throughout the branch, including occupancy sensor lighting in offices to reduce energy consumption. Large-scale ring-pendant lights highlight the main areas of the lobby, creating visual interest and providing acoustic value with the high-sloped ceiling.

The renovation provides members with signature features that define Earthmover’s brand presence across all locations. Visitors will notice the distinctive slanted roof entry, creating high visibility from roadways and a recognizable architectural identity.  Inside, custom acoustic panels shaped like Earthmover’s logo are present throughout the space, reinforcing the brand and providing practical sound management. A custom vinyl wall graphic and branded community tackboard reinforce ECU’s local commitment while maintaining design consistency.

The challenge with this project was implementing a carefully phased approach allowing the branch to remain operational throughout the renovation. Strategic scheduling and close collaboration with the credit union leaders minimized disruption to members and staff while maintaining the project timeline. The renovation of the Yorkville location was coordinated simultaneously with the renovation of their Aurora, IL branch.  Running both projects concurrently, with frequent communication across the design/build teams and with ECU streamlined the overall process and added efficiencies to both project timelines.
