This project is the third branch that The Redmond Company has completed for Veridian Credit Union in the Omaha area. The unique site is perched high on a plateau overlooking Papillion, a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. The parcel is a part of the “Cornhusker Plaza” development and is connected to surrounding properties with a landscaped bike path and sidewalks, which were part of this project.
The design follows the prototype created by The Redmond Company’s architectural team and features an attractive V-shaped roof line with plenty of daylight and natural elements. The colorful interior of the Veridian Credit Union balances natural textures with vibrant hues, tying into the credit union’s brand while creating visual interest and a retail experience unlike other financial facilities. It also appropriately matches the needs of the credit union employees and appeals to the target demographic.
This branch services the community with several lender offices, four drive-thru lanes, and interactive teller pods in lieu of a static teller line. There is also a comfortable waiting area complete with fireplace and refreshment bar for customers to feel right at home. One of the more unique areas is the “Kids Zone,” which features a penny floor for children to find the number of “tails” pennies. The member experience is infused with advanced financial technology at every touchpoint while considering and capitalizing on traditional consumer purchasing patterns.
The bold design of the Veridian concept has helped facilitate rapid growth over the last few years in a crowded financial sector.
