Veridian Credit Union had a problem at their Ansborough Facility in Waterloo, Iowa. An addition done to the building in the 1990s, created some confusion as to where members should enter the building. The exterior was also in need of an aesthetic update. The original branch dated back to the 1970s, and while there was a recent interior remodel, the exterior had not been updated in over 40 years.

Having worked with The Redmond Company on six previous projects, Veridian knew they could trust in Redmond’s knowledge and experience to help them solve their entrance problem and realize their vision for the exterior design of the building.

In rethinking the front entry, the solution was both aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. A new composite and metal panel portal gives prominence to the main entry while contributing to the overall exterior design. 1,000-linear-feet of old standing-seam metal façade treatment was replaced with bright and fresh composite panels and locally sourced stone and materials were used to freshen up the look of the building. Finally, new landscaping was installed to compliment the new exterior design.

Long lead times and scheduling challenges exemplified Redmond’s experience and expertise in managing project timelines.
